To celebrate the founding of theYOUTH FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE (YFDL)several youth focused football training clubs from Shenzhen and Huizhou will particpate in a friendly tournament on 29th November 2015.
The Youth Football Development Cup will take place in the tranquil environment of Huizhou (one of the cleanest cities in China) just 1.5hrs away from Shenzhen.
This cup tournament is the beginning of a grassroots movement that aims to put the learner 'the player' at the centre of everything! The league will break away from the 'win at all costs' mentality that often leads to unenjoyable football experiences for children. We will explain the Youth Football Development League (YFDL) in more detail in our next 'Soccer in China' article.
The 7th Sunshine Academy Benefit Fair will be held at The Riviera in Nanshan on November 21st 2015 from 10am to 2pm. This wonderful event has grown from just a few vendors and kindergarten kids selling crafts and snacks to a popular and enjoyable community event attended by thousands each year. The fair helps raise awareness and funds for the Sunshine Academy, an important local charity.
The Sunshine Academy is a registered charity organisation that aims to improve the lives of local children in need. SoccerRangers coaches Tom and Dan volunteer weekly at the Baoan Centre, giving their time, energy and care to coaching the kids footbal/soccer.

President Xi Jing Ping will visit the Blues over the Reds this week during his UK visit. Sun Ji Hai (one of China's most famous football players and ex Manchester City player) will accompany Mr.Xi to tour Manchester City Football Club and Sun Ji Hai will also offically enter 'The Hall of Fame'. The visit has been hailed by British and Chinese officials as the start of "a golden era" of relations and could possibly lead to one day China hosting, challenging and maybe even winning the World Cup!

We want to offer aspiring Chinese football players the opportunity to experience the authentic Manchester City football club academy culture. The City Schools program is a one of a kind in the UK combining football training and English Language in a 2 week summer course at the Manchester City Academy. Kids 9-17yrs from all over the world will participate and SoccerRangers will take groups of Chinese kids there to follow in the footsteps of Xi Jing Ping and Sun Ji Hai. Each team will include 10 players and a SoccerRangers international coach will accompany them to Manchester.
